Alexander Roux Handcarved Dining chairs from the 1870's

We are thrilled to offer a set of six hand carved dining chairs by famed furniture maker and carver Alexander Roux. His creations have been featured in the Metropolitan Museum.  We have two arm chairs and four side chairs. All six have barley twist legs and carved backs featuring  flowers, leaves, scrollwork and faces. The armchairs have incredible carved dog heads, as was a favorite motif of Roux. Would be the crown jewel in a Spanish revival, gothic victorian, or any room where a dramatic look is sought.  $3,900.
